El general de Ejército y presidente de Cuba, Raúl Castro Ruz a su regreso de la cumbre de las Américas fue detenido violentamente en el mismo aeropuerto internacional José Martí por miembros de tropas especiales fieles a su hermano mayor y ex presidente, Fidel Castro.
Al momento de redactar estas líneas la situación es extremadamente confusa y complicada con diferentes enfrentamientos aramados entre tropas leales al presidente y ex presidente respectivamente.
Según fuentes allegadas a ambos hermanos y que reclamaron el anonimato, la detención del presidente Raúl Castro estaría vinculada a acusaciones de traición a la patria y de “dar esperanzas al enemigo” cuando expresó públicamente en la cumbre su deseo de dialogar con el presidente de los EU, Barak Obama.
